Built in the year 1452, the Achalgarh Fort is one of the most visited forts in Mount Abu. Located at a distance of 11 kilometers from the main town of Mount Abu, it is well connected to other parts of Mount Abu by a network of roads. The fort was built in the year 1452 by the famous Rajput ruler of Meerut, Rana Kumbha. The particular ruler not only has the credit of spearheading the Rajput resurgence movement but was also a great designer. As a result, he was able to build the marvelous Achalgarh Fort.

The visitors to the Achalgarh Fort get the opportunity to witness a number of its features like the sculptures. As you enter the walls of the fort, you will also come across a number of temples that are present within the boundaries of the temple. There is also a belief related to the temple that says that the temple is built around the toe marks of Lord Shiva.
