Mecca Masjid:Mecca Masjid is located near the Charminar in Hyderabad and has been so named because it has drawn inspiration from the Grand Mosque at Mecca. This is not only the largest mosque in Hyderabad but also one of the largest mosques in the country. It is capable of accommodating 10000 people at the same time. This imposing edifice was constructed by Qutb Shah and is an important place of tourist attraction simply because of its impressive architecture. • Jama Masjid:Jama Masjid is the oldest mosque in Hyderabad. It was built way back in the year 1597 by Quli Qutub Shah. An old Turkish bath is to be seen within the premises of the mosque. Even from a distance you will notice the imposing white towers of the mosque that rises a few meters from the Charminar.

The structure was originally a temple that dates back to the 9th and 10th century A.D. Later it was reconstructed by the Mughal Emperor. The architecture of the Masjid is indeed admirable.
